What our new website says about where GBST is heading

By Rob DeDominicis, CEO, GBST

Over the last few years, GBST has evolved significantly. We’ve modernised core technology, invested heavily in our product portfolio, broadened our capabilities and strengthened our position across wealth management, retirement, advice and digital. Our new website reflects that progress and the direction in which the business is heading.

Our previous site served us well for many years, but it was built for a different time. It focused heavily on products and features and didn’t always do justice to the people, expertise and delivery capability that sit behind the technology. It also didn’t fully reflect the business today and its direction of travel for tomorrow.

Organisations evaluating strategic technology partners increasingly want to understand more than functionality. They want confidence in delivery. They want to understand who they are partnering with. They want evidence of experience, modernisation, operational resilience and long-term investment. That’s particularly true in wealth management and retirement markets, where technology decisions often carry decade-long implications.

The new website has been designed to present a clearer picture of who GBST is today and where we are heading.

Platform modernisation

Our investment in platform modernisation is central to that story . Over recent years we have invested significantly in Composer, modernising its underlying technology stack continuing to evolve our SaaS and AI delivery model. This helps clients reduce complexity, improve operational efficiency and create a stronger foundation for future innovation.

Modernisation matters because the demands placed on wealth and retirement platforms continue to increase:

  • Regulation evolves.
  • Customer expectations change.
  • Operating models become more complex.
  • Legacy technology becomes harder to maintain.

The role of AI

At the core of our recent modernisation is AI. AI has become one of the most discussed topics in financial services, but too much of the discussion focuses on capability rather than application. At GBST, we believe the greatest value of AI in regulated financial services environments comes from strengthening execution, improving consistency, reducing manual effort and helping organisations manage complexity more effectively. That perspective has informed both our product roadmap and our broader thinking about innovation, whereby clients are looking for measurable outcomes, greater efficiency, improved control, reduced risk and the ability to scale with confidence. That remains the essence of what we do.

The website also reflects something else that I think is important: technology is only one part of the equation.

Power of our people

Successful transformation projects depend on people, processes and experience as much as software. Our strongest initiatives have been built on close collaboration between client teams, delivery specialists, product experts and operational stakeholders bringing the right expertise together from design through implementation

The technology enables change, but people make it happen. That’s why the new site places greater emphasis on our team’s experience in implementation, migration, and long-term partnership.

GBST has been working with wealth management and financial services organisations for 40 years. During that time the industry has experienced enormous change, but one thing has remained constant: firms need technology partners they can trust to help them navigate complexity and prepare for what comes next.

The website is therefore not the story in itself, it’s simply a better representation of the business we have become, and more importantly, it provides a stronger foundation for the next phase of our growth.
