We believe that our people are the key to business success.
We are committed to providing valued development opportunities and rewarding those who are prepared to continue to set the standard for excellence.
We believe in providing our people the opportunity to work on interesting and challenging projects that enable them to build their technical expertise within their chosen professions.
As a global business, our staff have the opportunity to undertake short and long-term secondments to our various international offices, providing them with exposure to new cultures and work environments.
We also recognise that providing a flexible work environment is critical in allowing our people to enjoy a healthy balance between work and home life.
In 2011, GBST were one of the first organisations to adopt the ASX Diversity recommendations, leading the way within the Australian IT industry. We are committed to building a diverse work force and environment that embraces the benefits of diversity. Our commitment to diversity was recognised by Queensland’s Women In Technology (WiT) association as we were proud winners of the 2011 Employer of Choice award. We also active participants in the AEC program supporting young indigenous people as they commence their careers in IT.
More than 40% of our staff have been employed with GBST for greater than 5 years, and 10% have been with us for more than 10 years. This commitment from our people is something that we are extremely proud of and we celebrate these milestones each year with an annual Longevity Club lunch. Staff with more than 10 years service also receive an additional week of paid leave in recognition of their contributions to our organisation.
